Dear Friends,

TRUST was born from a belief: that those of us fortunate enough to have the means must act with responsibility, humility, and compassion to create a better world. More than an organization, TRUST is an extension of who we are—a reflection of decades of listening, learning, and working quietly yet purposefully to make a meaningful difference.

Our journey began in 1929 when our ajoba, Late Shri Raobahadur Hanmantramji Rathi, responded to the gaps in healthcare and education with quiet determination. He established the Seth Tarachand Ramnath Charitable Ayurvedic Hospital to provide accessible healthcare and built hostels to support students pursuing education in Pune.

These early efforts, personal and immediate, were rooted in the belief that no one in our community should feel unsupported. As the world evolved, so did we. In 2007, our family came together to transition from charity to philanthropy—a shift that allowed us to address not just symptoms, but the rootcauses of the challenges communities face. This wasn’t simply a structural change; it was a commitment to create lasting systems that empower others to thrive independently. Today, we focus on some of the most pressing challenges of our time—preventing addiction through Saiyam, fostering resilience in underserved communities through Mahesh Safety Net, offering critical mental health support with Manas-Mitra, and empowering grassroots NGOs with the TaRa AtmaNirbhar Grant. These initiatives reflect the values instilled in us by our grandfather: to listen, to lead with compassion, and to create enduring change for future generations.

With gratitude and sincerity,
