In the social sector, many organizations work tirelessly to bring meaningful change but often face an invisible struggle. While their hearts are full of purpose, their hands are tied by limited or restricted funding. Every rupee must be justified and every activity measured, leaving little room to build stronger systems, invest in people, or think long-term. Instead of fueling growth, funding sometimes becomes a constraint, slowing down the very impact it aims to create.
Recognizing this challenge, Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust introduced the TaRa AtmaNirbhar Grant to give organizations the space and flexibility they truly need to grow. The initiative offers an unrestricted grant of ₹2.5 lakh to help NGOs strengthen their foundation — whether through better systems, stronger teams, or clearer strategies. It encourages them to invest in their own growth so that they can serve their communities even more effectively.
For Srujan Pratishthan, part of Cohort 1 in 2023, this support became a turning point. They used the grant to redesign their website, enhance their social media presence, and build better monitoring and evaluation systems. They also refined their fundraising proposals and created an Employee Handbook to make team onboarding smoother and more organized.
The results were truly inspiring. What began as a ₹2.5 lakh CSR grant evolved into a ₹25 lakh, three-year partnership. Their annual budget has doubled, their team has grown, and their school-based support program has now expanded to six additional schools, reaching more children and families than ever before.
Sometimes, the most meaningful change begins when an organization is trusted to invest in itself. The TaRa AtmaNirbhar Grant continues to make this belief a reality — empowering changemakers to build stronger foundations for lasting impact.
